On February 19, 2012, eight Canon employees participated in “Eco Festa Wonderland,” held at Ota Ward Koike Elementary School. This festival is sponsored by Ota Ward every year, and this year marked the eleventh time it has been held. Along with introducing the activities that the ward government, NPOs, corporations and other organizations routinely carry out, its objective is to have children learn about the environment while enjoying the event through various lessons and games about the environment.

Entitled “Be a Professional about the Environment through a Game,” Canon had visitors take part in an activity in which they played an original game about the environment on a computer. In this game, a story is presented, and as it progresses the player is quizzed about familiar things about the environment. Along with presenting the answers to the questions, environmental endeavors undertaken within Canon's places of business are also introduced. With Canon employees providing assistance to advance in the game, this activity was well received as an opportunity to learn about the environment while having fun.

From the start, a continuous flow of people visited the classrooms where the festival was held. A total of 220 people visited the Canon booth and played the game. In addition, there were displays within the booth featuring environmental activities undertaken by Canon, such as the “Ink Cartridge Homecoming Project” and the “Bellmark Drive
