Semiconductor Exposure Systems
Semiconductor exposure equipment is critical to the creation of electronic devices. In order to respond to shrinking linewidths of semiconductors, Canon commercialized its innovative liquid immersion lithography and is now further developing other cutting-edge technologies, such as extreme ultraviolet (EUV).
LCD Exposure Systems
Canon is a leading manufacturer of the high-production mirror projection aligners used in the manufacture of liquid crystal displays (LCDs). We have achieved the mass production of high-precision concave mirror, enabling the manufacture of LCD panels for 57- in. widescreen televisions using a single exposure process.

Digital Radiography Systems
Digital X-ray photography is becoming increasingly common in medical settings. Canon's complete lineup of upright, horizontal, and portable cassette-type systems makes it possible to take X-ray images under a wide range of conditions. Canon is also at work on developing radiographic video devices.
Broadcast Equipment
As the global market leader in broadcast lenses, Canon is the brand of choice television broadcasting worldwide from live news and sports events to studio programming. Canon was quick to respond to the shift to high-definition and is also at work on high-speed optical wireless communication systems and HD remote pan-tilt systems.
Components
Canon in-house develops key components for industrial equipment. Canon has also commercialized a number of precision, compact components, including a micro laser interferometer for measuring displacement at the nanometer level and a galvano scanner for rapid laser beam scanning.

Die Bonders
Die bonders are used to pick up individually diced chips and bond them onto integrated circuit lead frames during the post-processing of semiconductors. By achieving high productivity and stable operation at low cost, these systems contribute to the development of semiconductor manufacturing.
IAMS* Mass Spectrometer
Ion Attachment Mass Spectrometry (IAMS) is a method of ionizing the molecules of a measured gas by attaching lithium ions, enabling the mass of substances to be measured without damaging test samples. Mass spectrometers that employ this method make possible high-accuracy mass spectrometry procedures.

Vacuum Thin-Film Deposition Equipment
Vacuum thin-film deposition equipment, used to form and process thin films in a vacuum environment, is essential for electronic device manufacturing processes. Canon has a lineup of equipment used in the manufacture of displays, semiconductors, and data storage media such as magnetic disks.
