Canon's new lineups introduced at the IBC 2003

The New e-IFxs / e-HDxs Sereis
At NAB 2003, Canon introduced the J22ex7.6B, the first lens adopting our new "e-IFxs" technology. And at IBC 2003, Canon introduces the new lineups of the e-IFxs series, the J17ex7.7B and the J11ex4.5B.
At the same time, Canon proudly introduces the new e-HDxs series by launching the HJ21ex7.5B, HJ21ex7.8B, HJ17ex7.7B and the HJ11ex4.7B.

The "e-IFxs/e-HDxs" technology consists of two meanings that start from the letter "e".
One is the "environmental design",the design harmless to the environment.
The other is the "enhanced digital" technology which improves the performance of the digital drive unit. Of course, the new series inherits all the advantages from its predecessor, the IFxs series, which includes the advanced optical design concept, based on the X-Element technology.

YH16x7 KTS-AF
In response to requests from markets around the world, Canon introduces the YH16x7 KTS-AF lens equipped with our exclusive Full Time Auto Focus System. The greatest feature of the lens is the Self Contained Auto Focus System which allows AF control completely within the lens independent of the camera. Compared with a conventional manual focus remote control lens system, which requires focusing by an operator, the new YH16x7 KTS-AF will immensely expand the possible applications of the system. The lens can be adopted for various applications such as building security, traffic control, church, education, web broadcast, customs and immigration etc...
The lens can also be simply incorporated in robotic pan and tilt systems.
