8mm Movie Projector

CINESTAR P- 8 [A] [E] [J]
Marketed February 1965
Original Price 28,500 yen (w/15-25mm f/1.5)

This home-movie projector was developed with the emphasis on “automation, light weight and compactness.”

The take-up reel was built into the body, so a take-up reel arm was eliminated. This easy-to-operate, auto-loading model, with a light-weight plastic exterior, was very well accepted.

Fully automatic rewinding was achieved by punching the film-end mark at the end of the film. The projector also featured an auto-winding electric cord, like those seen in vacuum cleaners. The light source was a low-voltage 8V 50W lamp.

There were two models: one with a 19mm f/1.4 and one with a 15-25mm f/1.5 lens.
