The PowerShot S10 incorporates a 2.11 megapixel 1/2" CCD and a newly designed high quality 2X zoom lens with three aspherical elements giving high quality and low distortion to the edges of the format. The new single-chip digital processor IC and buffer memory make possible the short shutter interval of two seconds. The fully retractable zoom lens with built-in lens cover, high-density packaging and miniaturzing technology result in the thinnest body (33.8mm) in the class.

It incorporates five shooting modes and advanced functions including Spot Metering,AE Lock,and ISO Sensitivity Setting for every situation and purpose, all in a light weight, highly mobile compact camera sized package.
