This lightweight, compact standard zoom lens was developed along with the EF28-90mm f/4-5.6 USM lens and is practically identical to it except that a DC motor is used instead of the USM for focusing.
The silver ring at the front of the zoom ring presents high-quality appearance, and the optical system uses only environmentally friendly lead-free glass.
