The Frontline of Camera Design EOS M The Heart of EOS, sculpted to perfection

The Frontline of Camera Design : EOS M

The Aesthetics of the Art behind Lenses

In order to create an EOS M that imparts an impression of even higher overall quality, the EF-M lens has been designed with a metal exterior. In addition, the diagonally striped knurl pattern showcases the dense aspect of the metallic exterior. This camera has been designed with secure fingertip grips for exceptional ease of operation. At the same time, the focus ring - which requires delicacy of operation - features a narrower knurling that ensures the fingers do not touch other areas. Moreover, the zoom ring, which requires faster operation, has been designed to be as wide as possible. The result is beauty of form, with no waste, that rests nicely in the hand.
As for the characters represented on the lens, laser-mark printing has replaced ink printing for enhanced durability for the first time in an EF lens. The tripod screw holes are also securely and rigidly integrated into the solid magnesium frame to accommodate large lenses.

Expanding the World of EOS

The words of Ms. Inazumi speak to the character of the EOS M: "Both men and women can enjoy the combination of a black body and red strap in any setting." Not limited to users of a particular age, gender, or camera proficiency, this camera allows more people to experience the joy of photography. This is the great advantage of the mirrorless EOS.
The mirrorless EOS M was designed for current EOS owner who desires a convenient and compact auxiliary camera for travel, and for the IXY or smartphone camera user who wishes to take photos of superior quality. This innovative camera is sure to trigger the rapid expansion of EOS photography. Clearly, the aspiration of these designers was to condense the EOS spirit into a mirrorless camera.
