Environmental Communication | Exhibiting at Environmental Exhibitions

Canon's "ACTION for GREEN" environmental vision calls on us to realize a society that promotes both enriched lifestyles and the global environment through technological innovation and improved management efficiency.
Canon therefore participates in a variety of environmental exhibitions in Japan and overseas to introduce our environmentally conscious products and environmental initiatives to a wide audience.

Major Exhibitions in 2011

Canon EXPO 2011 in Shanghai

We have been holding the Canon EXPO since 2010 as a means to demonstrate our approach to growth from 2010 onward to our main business partners. Having previously held the Canon EXPO in Paris, Tokyo, and New York in 2010, we held it in Shanghai in May 2011.
In addition to introducing Canon's Environmental Assurance Activities based on our environmental vision, we set up exhibits showing our environmental efforts rooted in communities worldwide.

Eco-Products 2011

Canon participated in Eco-Products 2011, the largest general environmental expo in Japan, held in December 2011 at Tokyo Big Sight.
At our booth we introduced "One Shot Ecology," our idea for reducing "per image CO2 emissions," referring to one image captured by a camera or one printed photograph. We also introduced Canon's environmental impact reduction efforts by creating scenes in two separate zones that depict customers using our products in "work" and "life."
