Canon Inc. began publishing Ecology in 1994 as the forerunner to the launch of the Canon Environmental Report in 1999. Expanding the scope of the report to cover economic and social aspects, we started publishing the Sustainability Report annually from 2003.
Canon (Schweiz) A.G. in 1994 was the first company in the Canon Group to publish an environmental report. Currently Canon Group companies in each region publish CSR (Sustainability) Reports. In addition, Canon Europe Ltd. issues its Sustainability Report in English as well as in five other European languages (French, German, Spanish, Italian and Dutch). Translations of this report, many including customized sections, have also been released in 14 languages in 18 regions. These versions can be found on the respective country websites.
We will expand the scope of our reporting by introducing readers to more of our global activities aimed at achieving a sustainable society.
