In developing the imageRUNNER ADVANCE series, Canon adopted new eco-friendly design techniques for setting and reaching CO2 emissions reduction targets for each stage in the product lifecycle. We pursue eco-friendly design that considers the product lifecycle. Specifically, during product development and design, we establish CO2 emissions reduction targets for each stage in the product lifecycle. During product development, we monitor our success at reaching our targets and make adjustments if our targets are not achieved. As a result of this approach, the imageRUNNER ADVANCE series emits less CO2 throughout its lifecycle than does a comparable conventional machine.
