Through the introduction of Canon-developed production equipment capable of recovering organic solvents, the company has made possible the recovery of more than 90% of organic solvents which previously would have been discharged into the atmosphere during the component production process. The technology boosts concentrations of low-concentration volatile organic compound (VOC) gasses, which had proven difficult to recover, enabling the condensation and recovery of high-concentration VOC gasses at high levels of purity and facilitating the recycling of organic solvents within the component production process.
