AIRSHELL* is a packaging material for toner cartridges that utilizes air cushioning. Unlike conventional molded pulp cushioning materials, AIRSHELL relies on the tendency of air to return to its original pressure in an enclosed space regardless of how many times a compressed material undergoes elastic stress. This makes it possible to provide cushioning that protects products even with minimal space between the product and the outer packaging. AIRSHELL helps reduce product package sizes for improved shipping efficiency while contributing to the reduction of CO2 emissions generated during transport by 23% to 49%.
