Now I would like to discuss Canon's growth strategies as we head towards 2010.

First of all, we will firmly seize the business opportunities created by economic globalization and the spread of broadband networks, and will work to enhance our current core businesses ahead of 2010. In addition, we will devote our energy to new businesses, such as displays, and to the independent business initiatives of our manufacturing subsidiaries in order to help us achieve net sales for 2010 of 6 trillion yen.
