In the office and consumer products areas, two of Canon's core businesses, we are working to further enhance the strengths of our innovative product lineups through such efforts as promoting alliances with domestic and overseas IT vendors in order to support cloud and network environments, and taking advantage of the user-friendliness of smartphones.
In addition, we are working to add new technologies to our vast technological strengths cultivated over the years in an effort to expand businesses beyond existing areas, such as through entering the motion picture production industry.
