According to a survey by Mizuho Trust & Banking, from the end of 1989, before the burst of Japan's bubble economy, until the end of 2012, Canon's total return, including the rise in stock price and cumulative dividends, ranks fifth among companies listed on the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
