Canon Contributes to Relief Following Niigata Chuetsu Earthquake in Japan

We would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to all those affected by the earthquake that occurred in Japan’s northwestern region of Niigata on July 16, 2007.

Canon is aiding relief efforts for the earthquake victims through the following support.

• The Canon Group has donated a total of 25 million yen (approximately US$217,000) to such organizations as the Japanese Red Cross Society and the Central Community Chest of Japan.
• Canon Marketing Japan Inc. has undertaken to repair Canon products damaged in the quake for half price in areas where the Disaster Relief Law has been invoked.
