1.	As a corporation working towards a better society legally, Canon offers equal opportunities to suppliers for providing their products and services to us. Suppliers will be selected through systematic and comprehensive evaluation processes which are prepared by Corporate Procurement Administration Center. Assessment of such factors as environmental preservation, quality, cost,delivery performance and financial performance, etc. is carefully performed through the process above mentioned. Canon's procurement activities will be conducted on a worldwide basis in accordance with open, fair, and non-discriminatory principles.

2.	Canon's partners will be required not only to produce products on schedule but also to flexibly adjust production and realize shortening of lead time in response to fluctuation in market demand.

3.	Canon will use the same degree of care in safeguarding the confidential information received from suppliers, such as estimate, purchase and technical information, as it uses for its own confidential information of like importance. Canon asks suppliers not to let out Canon's secrets and any and all items incidental to them.
