Assistance for severe snowstorm damage in Dalian China
Canon Dalian donated 50,000 yuan (about 760,000 yen) to the Dalian Charity Foundation, which will be used to assist relief in the area affected by a severe snowstorm that occurred in Dalian on March 4, 2007.
The snowstorm caused 44 fatalities in Dalian as well as damage to agriculture, fisheries and industry amounting to about 2.7 billion yuan (about 41 billion yen).
The donation will be used to benefit the stricken area.
