The Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare presents Canon Inc. with a letter of thanks for its donation to victims of hurricane Katrina in the U.S.A.

Canon Inc. received a letter of thanks from the Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare on September 4th, 2006.
The letter was presented in recognition of a donation of five million yen Canon Inc. made through the Japanese Red Cross Society to help victims of hurricane Katrina, which struck the U.S. in August 2005.
At the presentation ceremony held at the headquarters of the Japanese Red Cross Society, JRCS President Tadateru Konoe gave the letter of thanks to Sumiko Sawada, the head of Canon Social Contribution Operations Dept., on behalf of Canon Inc. A letter of thanks was also presented to Canon Marketing Japan Inc. on the same day.
