Assistance to Victims of the Recent Quake off the Niigata Coast
The Canon Group has provided the following assistance to the victims of the earthquake that struck off the coast of Niigata Prefecture on July 16, 2007:
- The Group has donated a total of 25 million yen to the Japanese Red Cross Society, the Central Community Chest of Japan.
- In the area where the Disaster Relief Law has been invoked, Canon Marketing Japan has undertaken to repair Canon products damaged in the quake for half price.
