That's an Objet d'art!
I have a souvenir of Tokyo Tower at home.
As a baby-boomer listening to the Peanuts singing "Fugue of Love" on the radio, I feel nostalgic for those days.
I've made Mothra by reeling a silk thread around a peanut, and fixed it on top of the Tower as if it were producing a cocoon.
The Peanuts is singing songs, and I'm cheering "Mothra! Mothra!" to encourage it to grow into a moth.
A remarkable Tokyo Tower is at my home.
* The Peanuts are a Japanese twin sister singing group, who became popular for their appearances in "Mothra and Godzilla." Mothra is a giant mutant moth that battles against Godzilla.
Looking up at the night sky
If I travel, I'll take a plane at night…
After having a small glass of liqueur at the departure lounge,
I'll go up into the night sky a bit tipsy.
That's good indeed.
If I travel by boat, it's far better…
Looking at the Yokohama Bay Bridge,
I enjoy a beautiful night at sea.
The sky is strewn with stars like so many jewels,
The sea is in colors of a multitude of stars.
That's a panoramic night view at the rainbow-colored sea.
SW3 Comet is approaching,
At my age, I might not be able to see that bright star.
It's no more than a star, but still it's a star, as is often said.
Venus got closer to the right side of the moon,
Years ago, I happened to see it in summer.
If it had been a shooting star, I could have hoped my wish come true,
But it didn't shoot.
Stars are mysterious,
They are good to nibble with my drink.
If I should happen to see SW3 Comet shooting,
I'd sip "shochu" liquor sucking on a piece of "confeito" candy.
That'll be chic.
Waiting for summer to come
Sweet memories of my hometown;
I recall fireflies sometimes wandering into my house,
I dreamed while sleeping under a mosquito net,
It was a luxurious life.
I was on the open verandah,
Letting which let fresh air into the house,
Also different insects came flying into the house.
I welcomed some insects,
But didn't welcome some others,
Humans are self-centered in that sense.
And, there was a festival,
It's a great event of the village.
Big blooms of fireworks,
It was a mystery to hear the sound coming afterwards,
Last came were fireworks attached to a frame standing on the ground,
Its Their sounds reverberated in my head.
I had soda pop on my way home,
I miss that taste of summer.
Fireworks in a moonlit night view,
Smell of grass,
Sulfur and a mulberry field.
Summer's just around the corner,
At dusk on the festival day,
The carbide light is on.
Sweet breeze and a sudden shower,
First cicadas begin to sing, eager to fly in the sky.
