No.2 "Lilies and a Child"

One cold winter day, my uncle passed away.
On the way home after his funeral, a white cat ran pass with vigor across my path, right before my eyes. Thinking, "even this cat has the vitality of life, but my uncle has lost his life and will never get it back, will he," I returned home experiencing complex feelings about the "mercilessness" and "mysteriousness" of this thing called life.
That evening, I completed this work, "Lilies and a Child," in one sitting.
I created it wishing to make it a gossamer work by painting it as translucently clear as possible on white paper. It is a work with great sentimental value for me.
