No.5 "Avonlea from Afar"

Avonlea is the beautiful village where the redheaded Anne, from Lucy Maud Montgomery's novel "Anne of Green Gables," lived.
When I was confined to bed as a child, it was the only book that my late grandfather gave me. In my childish way, I read it engrossed and with great fascination filled my mind with imaginings of it.
In the present, to create this work I reread the novel, so memorable for me, recalling my grandfather's smile with great nostalgia. Blissfully, I imagined Avonlea, the world's most beautiful village, where many lovely flowers bloom in profusion and quiver in the breeze, and Anne's face, as I painted this piece at my mother's side.
