No.7 "The Sea by Moonlight"

I began this work thinking that I would like to paint a Japanese style wave pattern for the background. At that time, I decided that I would like to make the theme "the ocean!"
When the background was finished, a friend said that "I wonder if it will really turn out to be like a Japanese-style painting."
Painting waves on the ocean was quite difficult to do. One night when I was pondering this problem, I took out my hog's hair paintbrush, which I hadn't used in a long time, and boldly painted on top of the waves already there. This worked out well and I saw a light at the end of the tunnel.
This is an example of a work I painted in the western style even while using a repeating pattern in the style of Japanese painting as its motif, and it is a piece that is very memorable to me.
