The art class I attend is in a building with walls of floor to ceiling windows and a verdant garden in front. It is a very pleasant place where in summer fruit from the plum trees there ripen and fall to the ground to our delight. That garden is also adjacent to a wedding hall, separated only by a narrow road. So it is also a place where we can enjoy the sound of the voice of the person presiding over the ceremony and the sight of the bride and groom. After viewing this scene many times, I thought that I too would like to do a painting of a wedding, and this gave birth to this work. In my mind this is what I envision a wedding would look like.
