The activities aim to encourage cohabitation with society while Canon maintains close relationships with local communities, and also help children learn about the environment for symbiosis with the local environment.

OTA Interaction Festa 2008

On November 8 and 9, 2008, Canon participated in the “OTA Interaction Festa 2008,” held in Heiwajima, Ota Ward, Tokyo.

On November 10 and 11, 2007, Canon participated in OTA Interaction Festa 2007, an event held at Heiwajima, Ota Ward, Tokyo.

The 3rd Senior Citizens’ Festival held in Unoki District

On February 28, 2007, Canon participated in The 3rd Senior Citizens’ Festival held in Unoki District, which is a regional contribution event sponsored by the Unoki District Town Association Union (Ota Ward, Tokyo).

As part of its activities to contribute to the community, Canon conducted a lens-making course on August 8, 2006, participating in the Summer Go-Go Project, a summer school of Ikegami Daini Elementary School in Ota Ward. Canon employees acted as instructors.

Participated in a campaign to clean up the riverbank of Tama River

A total of 134 Canon employees and their families (101 adults and 33 children) took part in the campaign to clean up the riverbank of the Tama River sponsored by Tokyo’s Ota Ward on June 11, 2006.

Canon Inc. held Summer Eco-Festival 2005 at the head office (Shimomaruko, Ota Ward in Tokyo) on Sunday, August 7, as part of its community-contribution, environmental and educational, activities.
