Day Service Visitation Volunteer Activity Carried Out
On September 29, 2010, Nagahama Canon carried out a visitation volunteer activity at "Furusato-so (hometown house)," a day service social welfare station in eastern Nagahama City, Shiga Prefecture.
Junior High School Brass Band Concert
To assist brass band programs at junior high schools, Canon Chemicals Inc. provided the brass bands from junior high schools in the Tsukuba City area, Ibaraki prefecture, with an opportunity to perform in a concert on the Canon Chemicals premises.
Orange Orchard Volunteers
In December 2008, approximaly 50 Oita Canon Materials employees and their families participated in "Orange Orchard Volunteers". They helped in bagging the orange to prevent frost damage and in rebuilding greenhouse.
Traffic Safety Activities
Canon Finetech positions volunteer staff to help at sites through to be dangerous because of the volume of traffic along commuter roads near schools in the area around the Ibaraki Plant. Three times a year, around 165 employees participate.
