Posing and "saying cheese" against the large-sized photo background

On November 8 and 9, 2008, Canon participated in the "OTA Interaction Festa 2008," held in Heiwajima, Ota Ward, Tokyo. This event is Ota Ward's largest residents' festival and offers a variety of displays, attractions and stalls spread over three locations, Heiwajima Motorboat Race Track, Heiwajima Park and Heiwa-no-Mori Park, for people to enjoy.

Canon participated by running a "Charity Photo" booth, where people attending the event donated 100 yen for a photo printed out for them right at the booth. They were able to have their picture taken against a background photo of either a field of flowers or a panda created by the Canon large-sized printer.

This was the 19th time the festival was held and a total of approximately 260,000 people visited the various event venues this fiscal year, with about 720 of them dropping in at the Canon booth.

On December 4, Canon delivered the over 30,000 yen in donations received from festival participants, to Ota Ward. The donations will be used for social welfare purposes by Ota Ward.

Canon would like to take this opportunity to thank all who cooperated in this endeavor.
