Report on Scholarship Support Provided in FY2008 through Incorrectly Addressed Postcards

In fiscal year 2008, 11,381 such postcards were collected (approximate value: ¥570,000), and three years’ collective scholarship support was provided for twenty middle-school students in Thailand and four elementary-school students in Laos.

Canon Vietnam Aids Construction of Schools in Vietnam

Collecting spoiled or unused postcards was launched in 1996.

Charity Book Fair 2005

Since 1997, books and CDs have been collected from Canon group in Japan for sale at the Shimomaruko Head Office bazaar “Charity Book Fair,” and the proceeds have been donated for the educational support of children in Asian countries.
