6th Hong Kong Japanese speech contest

On April 18, Canon Electronic Business Machines (H.K.) Co., Ltd. sponsored the sixth Hong Kong Secondary School Students Japanese Speech Contest, which was held at the University of Hong Kong.
The annual contest is held with the aim of promoting Japanese language studies among Hong Kong high school students. This year's contest included finalists from Hong Kong who participated in the Japanese Speech Awards, an event held in Japan for international high school students and hosted by the Education Guardianship Group (NPO).
On the day of the contest, 15 students participated in the recitation contest, while 10 took part in the speech division. Canon Hong Kong Executive Director Toshiaki Yagasaki, who announced the winners in each section, awarded each student a Canon Wordtank G55 English dictionary.
