A total of 195 Canon employees and their family members took part in the Tamagawa Riverside Beautification Activity, sponsored by Ota Ward, along the riverbank of the Tama River in Ota Ward, Tokyo, on June 13, 2010.

The participants divided into two groups at the Canon Head Office, with one group tackling the task of the beautification activity along the riverside in the direction of the Maruko-bashi Bridge and the other in the direction of the Tamagawa Ohashi Bridge.

This activity was followed by the showing of an animated movie concerning the environment, to have the children learn about the importance of the environment.
