On July 16, 2011, as part of its nature conservation effort, Canon implemented "The Daishihashi Mud Flats - Protecting Nearby Mud Flats" program. This was the 10th time Canon has carried out this program to protect the natural environment.

Following Canon's successful environmental conservation activities at Mt. Takao last fall, Canon - in cooperation with the Wild Bird Society of Japan - set up an outing called "Getting in Touch with Our Local Natural Habitat" for Canon employees and their families.
