Canon Opto (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. and Canon Marketing (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd., in cooperation with the nearby Zoo Negara, carried out an environmental education program under the event concept "Be one with nature," on June 8.

Under this program two events were held. One, "Nature Hunt Challenge," was open to all children over 12 years old and adults and was a game where participants competed for the best score in answering several questions displayed throughout the zoo.

The other event, "Nature Art Competition," had children in two divisions, 6 to 8 years old and 9 to 12 years old, participate in drawing scenes in the zoo and awarded commemorative gifts to the children who created particularly wonderful pictures. In addition, the program took photos using a digital camera of people who donated 1RM (approximately 32 yen) and printed out the photos for them.

The employees of Canon Opto (Malaysia) and Canon Marketing (Malaysia) also participated in this program, which offered them the opportunity to enhance their awareness of nature conservation together with the people in their community.
