Based on Canon's corporate philosophy of kyosei, the event was held with the aim of promoting a bright future for the environment and society by introducing to many people the importance of environmental protection and by providing information on Canon's Action For Green environmental vision.
The tree-planting activities were held in 14 regions across China, including Beijing, Tianjin, Qingdao and Guangzhou. Taking part in the events were Canon employees, dealers and suppliers from each region, as well as the families of participants, reaching 1,987 volunteers in total. Participants worked hard throughout the Green Pioneer event to plant numerous trees in an effort to curb global warming.
This year marked the fourth consecutive year for Canon China to organize and implement the tree-planting event, with more than 4,000 people volunteering to date.
