Local Communities
Participation in and sponsorship of local events

Canon is a regular participant in events held in the local community. Some of the events Canon enters include the Ota Interaction Festa, the largest festival for residents of Ota Ward in Tokyo, children’s garden parties, and the Unoki Interaction Festa for the Elderly. Canon is also a supporter of local festivals, fireworks displays, marathons, and other events in the local communities near our operational sites.

Traffic safety activities

Near each of our sites, Canon employees regularly serve as crossing guards at nearby school routes and pedestrian crosswalks.

Invite local residents to “summer festivals” and “open day”

Canon opens its office doors to members of the local community during summer festivals or open day. Canon aims to further good relations and communications with local residents through various functions including refreshment stands, charity sales, and printing services where Canon products are presented. The Toride office donates the proceeds of its charity sales to the local social welfare council.
