Oita Canon Materials Inc. holds Environmental Learning Programs for children concerning water-based environments. The program includes the dispatch of employees to local elementary schools and a tour of water treatment facilities.

Clean-up work at waste collection stations at “Citizens’ Summer Festa 2004” (Ueno Canon Materials Inc.)
At the venue of “Citizens’ Summer Festa 2004” in Iga city, Mie Prefecture, Ueno Canon Materials Inc. took part in collecting and sorting out waste at three stations, and picked up litter in at venue, to cooperate in the clean-up campaign.

Participation in cleaning around the plant (Canon Group in Japan)
Employees at each Canon plant take part in cleaning regularly around the plant, paths, and in surrounding areas. At Ueno Canon Materials Inc., all employees except those working shifts take part in cleaning around the plant after working hours in spring and autumn. At Canon Fine Tech Inc., employees pick up litter in streets around the plant before work in the morning once a month. At Toride Plant, a “Green Man” works full-time cleaning. Thus, each Canon plant is actively carrying on environment preservation activities.
