Canon Junior Photographers Exhibition 2007 will be open at umu, a multi-purpose space on the first floor of TV Asahi in Roppongi, Tokyo, Saturday, November 17 through Sunday, November 25, 2007.

This year, Canon Junior Photographers workshops comprising a digital camera course and a field session were held at 19 venues in 14 prefectures from Hokkaido to Amami-Oshima in Kagoshima Prefecture. In this exhibition, all of the participants, approximately 750 schoolchildren, will display one work each. Additionally, Roppongi Photo Workshop will be held during the exhibition period so that visitors can experience Canon Junior Photographers.

Besides providing digital cameras and printers for this project, Canon Inc. gives a variety of support, such as sending a photographer as an instructor as well as employees for managing the event. Thus Canon aims to contribute to promoting children’s sensibilities, and increase their awareness of the environment.
