Q1: I do not have a PC for applying using the Web Entry Application system. What should I do?

Personal computers are made available for public use at Internet cafés and other establishments. From one of these establishments, please apply for entry using the Web Entry Application system.

Q2: I successfully downloaded the PDF files for the Entry Cards and Consent Form, but I do not have a printer to print them out. What should I do?

Please take the files to an Internet cafe or some other establishment that offers printing services so that you can print them out. If, for some reason, you are not able to print them out, please contact the Entry Application Center and tell them your Entry Number and request that print outs of the Entry Cards and Consent Form be sent to you by either postal mail or fax before the deadline below. You will need to inform the Center of your mailing address in order to receive them.

Deadline for requesting print outs of the Entry Cards and Consent Form: June 7 (Tue.), 2012 Postal mail postmarked on the deadline will be accepted.

After receiving your request, the Entry Application Center will send you print outs of the Entry Cards and Consent Form.

Applicants who are not able to print out these materials must be careful to observe the deadline above.

Q3: I was not able to successfully download the PDF files for the Entry Cards and Consent Form. How can I get them again?

Please use the "Download the Entry Card" function in the Web Entry Application system to get them. Otherwise please contact the Entry Application Center, by telephone, e-mail, fax or postal mail, and tell them your Entry Number and request that they provide you with the PDF files. If you provide an e-mail address, the files can be sent via e-mail. If you do not provide an e-mail address, printed versions of the PDF files can be sent by postal mail.

Q4: My session ended while using the Web Entry Application system before I completed the application process. What should I do?

Please access the Web Entry Application system again and complete the application process. Please note, however, that there is a one-hour time limit per session for security, so please prepare all the necessary information in advance before attempting to apply again.

Q5: We would like to enter the contest as a group. How should we fill out the application form?

Please select a representative of the group and fill out the application form using that person’s name and information. Then, in the "Additional information and comments" space, include mention that the entry work is a group effort and list the names of the group and the number of the participating members.

Q6: I forgot my Entry Number. How can I get it again?

If you already have your Entry Card, your Entry Number appears on it. If you do not have your Entry Card, please contact the Entry Application Center, by telephone, and ask for your Entry Number.

Q7: I forgot my password. How can I set it again?

Please use the "Reset the password" function in the Web Entry Application system.

Q8: I cannot reset my password.

Please use the "Reset the password" function in order to reset your password. Please be sure to submit the telephone number and mail address correctly, which will be the keys as an identification of the owner. Otherwise please contact the Entry Application Center by telephone.

Q9: I lost the PDF files for the Entry Cards. What should I do?

Please use the "Download the Entry Card" function in the Web Entry Application system.

Q10: After the screening process, may I retrieve my entry work by going to one of the Entries Reception Centers to pick it up? (Walk-in pick-up.)

Q11: : I would like to submit a different entry work from one I specified when I applied. What should I do?

If you have applied with the Web Entry Application system, you can modify the information of the work. It is necessary to have the Entry Number and the password for it. You can modify the information many times during the entry application period. A new Entry Card will be downloaded when you complete it. The new Entry Card will be effective instead of the old one.

Q12: Are there English versions of the Entry Information and the application form?

Unfortunately, there are no English versions of these materials available. There is, however, an English-version website for the contest (canon.com/scsa).

Q13: Is it possible to look at the entries submitted by other applicants?

There are no opportunities to look at the work of other applicants except for those that receive awards. We hope that you will look forward to viewing the exhibition or the website for the contest.

Q14: I requested that my entry be returned but I have still not received it even though it was supposed to be sent to me in mid-September.
