The judges concluded after a heated discussion that no candidate satisfied the requirements for the Grand Prize. Each of the three candidates, Megumi Kurosawa, Daisuke Nakashima, and Noriko Takuma, was presented a Co-Grand Prize. It is regrettable that there was no Grand Prize winner. We hope that the Co-Grand Prize winners will do exactly what is expected of them, and there will be excellent entries for New Cosmos of Photography next year.
