It seems I’ve started to breed a bizarre creature. Rather than me simply facing something, there might be a moment when looking at it becomes like music. Or there might be a moment where things that were tightly clothed become bare, and their names, roles, and background disappear. If these moments arise, these pieces of work may continue to breed like a virus and number 100 or even a thousand. Or perhaps like an insect, it might transform into something unexpected, like a caterpillar. Either way, I would like to bring it up with care. (Although it might become a pupa or go into hibernation) Thank you very much for selecting this work.

It’s a work composed of different sizes in different frames, yet comes together as a whole. It brings up an annotation about something that’s an important issue in the world of art right now, art and its presentation. It’s an issue about defining art, that the content and value of a piece of work wavers depending on where it’s placed and how it’s displayed. In that sense, this piece is loaded with raised issues, beyond photography. I have two conflicting feelings. One is that perhaps the subject matter shot should deliver a more cohesive message as a whole, and the other is that it’s better this way, a seemingly disorganized collection with subtle visions, as intended by the creator. The color tone has a unique waver and darkness, which brings this piece of work together, makes it consistent, and is an important factor. I feel that using this presentation method and color tone has many possibilities of development. I hope that she will think about how she can pursue something with even more depth with this method.
