“TORSO”
I like flowers. I like plants. I like people. I like to express that with photos. Lately, all I think about is photography. I used to draw also, but before I realized it, I was deeply into photography. When I’m walking outside or absent-mindedly riding a train and suddenly come across something, I photograph it on a whim. I like soundless scenery, in clear, pure air, with a quiet inner strength. I often used a method of applying sensitive emulsion to charcoal paper, but for TORSO, I didn’t want to rely on techniques like that. I wanted to emphasize the theme itself, so I used regular baryta paper. I am very happy to have that recognized. I hope to continue to shoot things that are very familiar and close to me, things that only I could shoot.

Her work has impact. It was well worth all her efforts. A combination of flowers and nudes could easily be stale, but by layering the images, the perspective is disrupted, which salvages it well.If you view it at a distance, depending on the angle you’re looking from, the layering of the flowers and nudes alters slightly, which is interesting. No issues with technique. It probably depends on how long this energy can be sustained.
