Beyond success and failure, beyond victory and loss, I must accept and affirm everything. About to embark on an adventure, I am neither a winner nor a loser; I am simply tragic. My friend was showing at the 1st New Cosmos of Photography Exhibit, which brought me here, and I thought, this is really interesting. Excitedly, I also submitted my works. I thought I would either be ignored or laughed at, so this award is a big surprise. I am attracted to the consistency of nature, and have created works with that as momentum. I feel comfort in simple shapes. I am inspired by the laws of nature, which encompass all, including myself.

Some of it reminds me of Hockney, but some of it is more abstract and mysterious. These two large pieces are the most abstract, and leads you to associate many things. You can see it as a squid’s mouth or a crown, and it also reminds you of the famous photo where milk is splashing in the shape of a crown. Regarding the other smaller pieces, because they are enlargements of animal or plant parts, they are too specific, deducting from the consistency of the series. Unfortunately, they take away from the interest factor of the two large pieces. If she can create another 100 different works with the concepts of these two large pieces, the concept would be universal.
