This work is a compilation of family photos taken between October last year and April this year. My wife’s illness was a foreboding of her death, and we were swept into an unexpected destiny. Despite that, it was my joy, and my heartache to photograph the scenes of my family’s happiness, the scenes of normalcy, and the scenes of agony. I thank the numerous people who have worried for us. I am grateful from the bottom of my heart. Thank you very much. Tetchan, Seichan, Ryochan, I will always hope that you will lead healthy, happy lives.

It’s indescribably good. There’s love in the distance kept. Within the simple passage of time, there’s an incredible story. If you think it’s painful, you don’t have to photograph, but you still do…
It’s good that she’s surprisingly cheerful. It’s also good to honestly explain and expose. More an issue of emotion than instinct, it becomes involving. This is a space and time of love. The emotions of the person behind the camera are apparent.
