“Dear Friends”
This work is a present I meant to give to two friends whom I usually photograph. There’s no such thing as completeness in this world, so I think there’s such a thing as an incomplete truth. If neutral, a photo can capture the truth. I think these photos reflect that in the girls, as well as in myself.
Selecting judge: Kotaro Iizawa
These photos are subtle, but pretty good. The atmosphere shared when with her friends is well captured. This must mean the generation (born in the 1970s) that can snap the shutter very naturally, like breathing, has finally emerged. Her idea of using several photos at once rather than using an album, especially mixing the sizes, was good. Instead of settling on a certain style, I hope that she will continue to experiment different ways of photographing.
