“LOOP”
When we interact with the world, there are always “views” involved. Probably they must be everywhere around us just like invisible air. However, we can’t “view” such “views” that are so close to us. As we are breathing air, we are “viewing” everyday. Is it impossible for us to act differently than taking only a passive attitude to “views”? In order to “view” those invisible “views,” I have to go down deep into the layers of myself. This work is a prologue to that journey.

This work includes several pieces that have vividly impressive images, and the way of presenting the whole series is smart and skillful. I don’t think the story itself is so powerful, but its visual structure is eloquent enough to tell us a kind of story. The characteristic feature is a variation in the photos’ transparency, light, and articles’ images. The vocabulary is well provided. However, each picture gives me a sense of “deja vu,” and the winners are expected to achieve individuality of expression in the future. To do that, they should fathom their inner feelings to expose the core of their inner reality in their works. I hope that they will continue to create works that are intellectual and rich in emotions.
