It was maybe around December 2004 that I decided that I wanted to try to take more honest pictures. I wanted to free myself of all constraints. The dim image I held within me slowly took clear form. I don’t know why, but as winter passed into spring I became intensely excited. I took pictures in a way I never had before. I was delighted by how truly personal they were. I am very happy that such photos received an award.

Epson Color Imaging Contest award winner.
Present: Freelance Photographer.

The work by Mr. Tokuta that I selected for an Excellence Award moved me in the gentlest way and stayed with me as a work that very subtly worked on my emotions. I found the photo of the black and white heart on the cushion to be especially beautiful and superb.
