Katsumi Omori holds an exhibition titled “Everything happens for the first time” in London
New Cosmos of Photography 1994 Excellence Award winner and 2011 judge, Katsumi Omori is holding his first exhibition in England.
Omori has been photographing cherry blossoms around Japan for 10 years, and this spring, during which an unprecedented earthquake and tsunami disaster occurred, he also photographed cherry blossoms at Urayasu City in Chiba, in Tokyo, and at the ruins left by the tsunami in Fukushima prefecture. These new works are being exhibited for the first time in the form of prints, projected images, and an installation.
