Kayo Ume holds “Super Shutter Chance Festival in FUKUOKA,” her first photo exhibition in Kyushu

Kayo Ume, who has received an honorable mention at New Cosmos of Photography twice - in 2000 (the 21st competition) and 2001 (the 23rd competition) - will hold her photo exhibition “Super Shutter Chance Festival in FUKUOKA” at two venues in Fukuoka. Kayo Ume is a photographer who exposes startling moments in daily life. In 2006, her first photo book “Ume-me” (published by Little More), which depicted humorous moments in everyday life, was an unusual bestseller, and she received the 32nd Kimura Ihei Photography Award. This year she will publish her third photo book in mid-June, in which photos of her grandfather, which she has taken continuously over many years, are collected.
In this exhibition, her works from the past, such as “Ume-me” and “DANSHI” and her latest works - shown for the first time - are exhibited. We hope that you will take this opportunity to enjoy her cheerful and heartwarming works.
