Kumiko Saotome takes part in a group exhibition titled "The Pencil of Light"
New Cosmos of Photography 2010 (the 33rd competition) Honorable Mention winner Kumiko Saotome is taking part in a group exhibition of monochrome works that capture light and shadows, called "The Pencil of Light." In addition to her Honorable Mention winning series "Ephemeral," she will be presenting new works.
This exhibition is named after the world's oldest book of photographs, "The Pencil of Nature," by William Henry Fox Talbot and published in 1844, and five up-and-coming artists will be expressing the world of monochrome by replacing the pen with the camera.
