New Cosmos of Photography 2011 (the 34th competition) Honorable Mention winner Kuniya Oyamada is exhibiting his prize-winning works “PLANET” at PI Gallery in Nagoya.
Battlegrounds, world heritage sites, and buildings in big cities, etc.
In these fascinating works, the area above the horizon at world-famous sightseeing spots is blacked out, with historical scenes and cityscapes erased, revealing only the surface of the ground.
Is this the earth or a planet somewhere?
